Mfuse Signs Mobile Deal With Ladbrokes
On February 14th, 2008, mobile company Mfuse Limited from Britain has signed an agreement to feature their Deal or No Deal mobile betting game to the mobile gaming offering of Ladbrokes.
Similar to its Internet version, Mfuse said that they are also planning to offer the game to other gaming operators in a free based mode or play for money mode. Mfuse has also debuted the second on Handset Registration or OHR solution for Ladbrokes that can run from both Java and WAP, giving permission to users to register through their mobile phones without having to log in on the Internet.
Ladbrokes earlier asked Mfuse to update their WAP offering by developing it to match their JAVA application. Ladbrokes earlier re-launched their mobile portal last year in a big push to benefit from the loosening of the gaming rules in Britain. Ladbrokes believe that their mobile offering will be improved by advertisements as gamblers will respond to mobile prompt while watching the television.
Carolina Gasparini, Mobile Product Developer for Ladbrokes said that advertisements can really have a big effect in the success of their mobile offering. Mfuse, which also runs mobile services for Blue Square, Mecca, Paddy Power, Sporting Bet and Victor Chandler agreed that advertisements had a big effect on attracting a wider customer base. Rick Brownlow, the Director of Product Development at Mfuse commented that their clients cannot advertise their products previously.
