Glu Mobile Launches WSOP Mobile Poker Game
On July 3, 2007, Poker enthusiasts who sign up for the World Series of Poker mobile poker game that was launched this week will be able to test their skills against well-known poker pros like Johnny Chan, Shannon Elizabeth, Chris Ferguson, Scotty Nguyen, Annie Duke and Michael Mizrachi in a mobile showdown.
Glu Mobile Inc has announced their multi-year agreement with World Series of Poker owner, Harrah's Entertainment, during maximum exposure and advertisement from the World Series of Poker main event, which will start this week.
The collaboration between the 2 companies offers the well-known World Series of Poker brand on mobile phones, together with some of WSOP's world class poker players.
Glu mobile's game features high class graphics that poker pro Johnny Chan describes as very realistic compared to other poker games played on mobile phones.
Some of the features of the mobile gambling game include AI opponents which gives clues on the status of the card hand that they are holding. The AI also learns from their human opponents and changes its own strategy to respond to it.
There is also a tilt meter that slowly fills up the frustration bank of the player and reveals their poker "tells" to distract them from the game.
